Losing Money in Relationships: Two D9 Patterns

☿︎ Mercury♀︎ Venus

Is it ordinary conflict, or a financial trap being set quietly? The D9 7th lord's house and D30 affliction separate the two, and the remedies differ.

The warning sign

If in your chart or theirs ☿︎ Mercury and ♀︎ Venus join in the 6th and hit the 7th, loyalty in the relationship can become nominal. Cold behaviour, hidden investments, evasive talk, and one day you learn something else was going on, with savings targeted through alimony and court claims.

Pattern 1: ego clash

The D9 7th lord sits in an upachaya house. No betrayal; both are ambitious, so ego clashes and communication gaps. Solution: financial clarity and open conversation.

Pattern 2: calculated intent

The D9 7th lord sits in the 6th or 8th and is afflicted in the D30. Here the speaker sees a flaw in character: sweet talk with calculated intention to leverage your career and wealth.

The common mistake

In pattern 2, wearing panna or diamond to fix the relationship can activate the 6th house's legal conflict yourself; the other side's case gets stronger. The 36-guna match can't catch this; D9 and D30 can. Evaluate a marriage proposal as carefully as a major career decision.

Key rules

  • Mercury–Venus in the 6th aspecting the 7th: a warning sign.
  • D9 7th lord in an upachaya house: ego clash, fixable by clarity.
  • D9 7th lord in the 6th/8th with D30 affliction: deeper risk.
  • Guna milan alone is not enough; check D9 and D30.
