Jupiter spends roughly a year in each sign. Popular forecasts often treat a Jupiter transit over the 2nd, 5th, 9th or 11th house from the Moon or ascendant as a green light for growth. In practice the transit usually works best as a confirmation of what the running dasha already promises.
